Find Your Style layouts

What is your style? Below are the 8 layouts that we will be creating during my "Find Your Style" class on Friday, June 12th. Cost is $20.

Which one above looks most similar to your scrapbook style? Can you tell which of these is graphic, hip and trendy, shabby, old world, clean lines, classic, eclectic and anything goes?

Inchies

Inchies- are small pieces of artwork that can be used on either your scrapbook layouts or on your cards... they can also be used as a gift tag, place setting, etc.Here are some samples of the inchies that I made. I made random sizes from 2" to 1/2"
I love to use stamps and ink on my inchies.

I will be teaching you how to distress as well as use the "postage stamp" method to create inchies.

Here is a close up of some postage stamps.

The class is held on Saturday, June 13th. Cost is $10- you will walk away with as many inchies as you can create in an hour.

Find Your Style

I am so excited about one of my June classes... Find Your Style.

So far, I have 2 of the layouts complete...

I have done the Graphic layout and the Hip and Trendy layout. I have sketched the other 6 layouts and know what I want to do for them... just need to choose pictures and paper. As soon as I have at least 4 of the 8 layouts complete, I will post them.

During this class, we will be taking a quiz to find out what "style" scrapbooker you are or how you tend to scrap. It will give you some insight into varieties of styles for the novice to advanced scrapbooker.

What to bring...
one of your favorite layouts that you feel exemplifies your style (we will guess what style you are)
paper trimmer adheasive pictures (if you want to leave with 8 finished layouts)- I will tell you what size photos and number of photos per layout needed.
favorite ink
pens

Some of the questions on the quiz we will be taking are...
1. What types of paper or backgrounds do you like?
2. Embellishments?
etc...

In answering these questions, we will find out what style you are...

Cricut mats

Wondering why you are going through your cricut mats so quickly. I just found this video... check it out. I have never conditioned my mats before, but will start now.

Since this challenge was postponed... we will do this one for this Friday.

Challenge #4
~ use a lyric as a title (doesn't have to be the title of the song... see Scrappin the Music) You choose any song
~ use bling on your page (rhinestones, stickles, glitter paper... many possibilities)
~ use die cuts or die cut letters (cricut, sizzix, etc.)
~ layer items on your page

Find Your Style

I love this show on HGTV! Well, I decided to do a Scrapbook Version of this show! How many of us are trying to figure out what "style" we are when creating our pages? I know I vary my styles depending on what I am working on! Here are some reasons why you should take this class...
1. Learn what style you are drawn to
2. Learn what style you automatically create in your pages
3. Learn some new styles that you can incorporate into your current style
4. Have fun while creating 8 scrapbook pages

I will take you on a journey through the 8 styles above and help you discover your style.
The class will be held on Friday, June 12th at 6:30-8. We won't be having the normal "Quick Creations" class during June. The cost of the class is $20. (It will be a deal for 8 scrapbook pages) I will let you know what size pictures to bring if you are interested in adding pictures that night and walking away with finished products!

Card Class- A perfect gift in a box- great to keep or give away for Mother's Day or a Birthday. The lucky receiver of this gift will be set for cards for a year!You have the choice to either choose this recipe box, which doesn't need altering, or a regular one, which we will add paper to, to spice it up.

All cards can be altered to meet your needs. Maybe you don't celebrate all the holidays, or have a special card in mind, you can use all my stamps with sayings, etc. to meet your needs. You will walk away with 20 beautiful cards to use or give away.
